I don't even have assault rifle trained to 1...
I like my mass driver, but now that I don't have to try my absolute best to get kills it just feels as cheap as the flaylock just was. |

This is nonsense. Pick up a mass driver and go slaughter people. I bet you can't do it.
Go try a mass driver and then come back and call it a noob tube. Try to fight some really good shield tanks so you can see how much of a noob tube it is.
And your hits don't register? My grenades used to literally just disappear.
And now its working properly and people are crying FOTM, and that makes someone who's spent lots of time and SP with this weapon look like "noob-tubing spammers". |

I trained my assault rifle to level 4 because everything will get nerfed. I mean everything. Nova knife, forge gun, grenades, av gear. Lavs. Just about everything non assault rifle or assault suit will get nerfed because if it kills a assault rifle user its OP. Even if it's a mele.
This isn't a nerf thread, smartass. I'm just making a statement to see if any other mass driver users feel the same way. Don't derail it into a nerf thread, please.

The Freedom is for splash damage and people that can't aim.

Breach is best.The damage the Core and the Freedom put out is ridiculous. You can kill tanks with them.
But everyone should be able to damage-tank any weapon. Of course this will have a significant impact on how powerful the weapon is. Have you ever seen a damage tanked Scrambler Rifle Charge Shot?
But they give up a huge amount of shields to increase the damage in any way that matters. Using a high splash radius weapon like the standard and assault mass drivers sort of requires some amount of shields to stay effective in close range. |

Ha I've been a MD main since closed beta. Every SP wipe we've had I've put them all back in MD's.
I would argue it is as powerful as it should be ATM, and that is what's causing everyone to cry that it's OP (because its on the same level as AR's).
Back in the day, I would watch my grenades turn into sparkles on enemy shields. I'd watch 1/6...1/3/...1/2 of my total damage potential just wisp away...now this weapon works properly. I no longer feel like I have a niche weapon role...that's all. Now everyone is calling "noob tube" and "spammer" just like they call "hail AR 514" and "bullet hose". |
