I don't see the same poor frame rate in 1.2 as was present in 1.1. Even tho there are issues in 1.2, FPS was, IMO, improved drastically.

mr.musturd pointed out a setting in the video options. texture detail- set it to low. honestly, you can';t even tell a big difference in quality. also, effect detail low. don't play at 480. have a little bit more respect for yourself.
