yes it needs a slight nerf. Perhaps take 5 to 8 off damage. increase the spool up time to .45 or .50. and NO assault version. If you have to have an assault version match it's damage to the ar.

Seriously if scaners were a sidearm the dynamics of the game would change. Heavies could scan for themselves and the squad. Plus they would finally have some WP from something other than killing and hacking. Scouts would be able to actually equip ...
