So your saying once again the Caldari makes the best equipment as lore would suggest, so they must be nerfed into the ground. Future nerfs are coming to the Caldari Sentinel and Scout so watch what you skill into, because you might accidentally pick a "FOTM".
In other news the main reason the RR seems OP is due the the low TTK all the way around.

There needs to be a damage nerf across the board to increase TTK. However, knowing CCP, they'll dismantle weapons again, one at a time. RR will probably be first on the chopping block followed by ACR.

The RR isn't that bad. I'm generally killed by them at longer ranges, but the RR is not useless at CQC. Which is awesome. It should not be useless close up. People should think twice about bum rushing any rifle so the RR being competent in close ranges is perfectly OK.
If you are having that much trouble with RRs Get a ScR and higher shields. Shields are better for protecting yourself from rail damage and the ScR can fire off a high damage salvo before the RR can react so you can pick them off easily by popping in and out of cover.
With that said, CCP does need to do some fine tuning of the balance of the game but the RR is fine compared to the other racial rifles ATM. I'm expecting CCP to do some rework on balance but targeting the RR specifically would be counter productive.
Try to kill it all you want CCP, I still <3 my laser.

Have a spool up between each shot on the normal one.
Have the assault variant shoot as fast as the normal one does now. |

Absolutely true, the TTK as it is now is so 'blink and die' that all Racial Rifles appear 'balanced' because they kill people in less time than a second. The reason that the Rail is getting to be the 'poster child of imbalance' is simply due to its optimal range we can feel that on a much greater scale. Before when most weapons were of noticeably shorter ranges, the TTK was less noticeable or offensive, since there was some chance of escape.
Now with the rail rifle operating at these ranges without penally people are being gunned down even when they are employing squad tactics and team work. Hence, most shooters exchange DPS with range by giving most long range weapons a lower RoF.
Also, being a Rail it does more damage to armor than shields, but blows through all but the most padded shield tanked suits with ease. Before boring even more damage through the plates (perhaps the last hope many had in resisting the TTK issue).
I loved the new Rail Rifle (I've always rocked rails on my Megathron) and feel that they fill a much needed role on the battlefield. But I eventually realized they are unbalanced and unbalancing the game even more soGǪ

Why not make rails how they were supposed to be: a marksman rifle?
Spool time is that same but the damage goes up by a lot, give it a clip size of 12 and be done with it. Essentially we should have a perfect hybrid of the Tactical Assault rifle and a sniper rifle, with a better scope than both. |

(science-y justification can be that it needs to work that way to account for the instability that would occur if you donGÇÖt brace it).
AR(PR): Make it the close range brawler a Gallente weapon should be. Increase the ROF or DPS and slash the range, like a shorter range ACR thatGÇÖs more efficient with its ammo consumption.
First Nerf damage for all of them by 5 Percent. Then : RR : Add 0.5 spool time. => .75 of Spool time instead of 0.25 /Less optimal range but same effective range. ARR : Should be lower damage and lower RoF (but same range) than RR BUT with no spool time.
Minmatarr weapons : Should be +5%/-5% instead of +10%/-5%. (Unbalanced.) CR : Increase time between bursts by 1 sec to avoid spam but make burst shoots 5 shots. Less Range. ACR : Reduce RoF/accuracy and Hip-fire accuracy. Less Range.
SCR : Charge shots consume 5 ammo/Lower the mag to be 25/ less hip-fire accuracy. ASCR ; Lower RoF/ higher heat up per shot.
AR : Higher RoF and better hip-fire but less optimal range for adv and Pro level. Others AR variants : Higher RoF but less range. |

Since there role is long to mid range, how about making them tactical rifles with 10 round clips ???

yes it needs a slight nerf. Perhaps take 5 to 8 off damage. increase the spool up time to .45 or .50. and NO assault version. If you have to have an assault version match it's damage to the ar. |
