Have you figured out any pattern to it? Like one thing I discovered that I hadn't realized, is that vehicles in the redline have their own redline timer. If they entered the redline before you did, they'll blow up with you in them.

The idea point to an SP cost for a respec, is that if it was percentage-based, it'd be minor and easily surpassable for a newbro, but very costly and painful for a veteran who could just as easily grind out the new SP they need.
