I wouldn't say so, I'd say its just to keep things balanced. If this was allowed we'd be seeing 16 vs 8 battles, trust me I've seen it happen in other games.

Seriously, I almost blinded myself today. I'm not sure what map it is, but all I know is that the sun on said map is extremely bright. I had to walk to the objective sideways to avoid my eyes being melted out. Its BF3 all over again!

It would give reviewers the permission to review it as the full game and not Dust 514 (Beta), along with its various problems, it would also mean its released unfinished. CCP aren't really the kind of Devs that like doing that.

The most I think we're going to see in the Beta is 32 vs 32, enough for the maps we have now. On full release we'll probably get 64 vs 64, if we're lucky 128 vs 128. Anything over that is a bit unrealistic.
