I think if you have a locked squad, even as just 2 or 3 people, your squad vehicles could be locked. Probably not the best way, but Locking squads is there already.

This should be only a varient for the RE we have. I enjoyed the quick responce i had last build when low ammo or none. Now, I have to either distance myself (stupid for my scout suit) or make them spin in circles for 5 seconds, which is possible...
