Of your vehicle that is. Haha gotcha, thought this was another STB thread? Anyway, every once in a while when I bring in a tank or a drop-ship or even a lav for my squad, some random blue dot hops on the turret or in a seat that was supposed to be reserved. Now what... do we just wait for them to get out? Can't yell at them as voice chat is disabled by default and even if you could, that's just unneeded aggression towards someone who's oblivious to whats going on. I would like a system in place to reserve seats on your vehicle for certain players that will kick out or move to an unreserved seat anyone who is currently in that spot.
Like this post if you agree!
Post suggestions on how this could be implemented into the current game menu!
Thanks folks! |

I think if you have a locked squad, even as just 2 or 3 people, your squad vehicles could be locked.
Probably not the best way, but Locking squads is there already. |

i concur with this idea as well. You should be allowed to remove someone from your vehicle if you want, it is after all your vehicle and you are the one that has to replace it if you have some random blue hoping in who doesnt know how to do anything and results in the loss of said vehicle cause they cant shoot for crap! |

It's a good idea but there are a few problems in applying it.
A person can summon multiple vehicles.
A person can be locked out of their vehicle (meaning that vehicle controls would have to exist on the same controller map as infantry combat)
Not everyone is mic-less, some people may be in their own squads and just need a lift or a drop off.
Dropship pilots seem to have more than enough going on at any point in time as it is.
The best solution I can come up with, given the current arrangement, is for vehicle controls to work like the squad leader command system. You cycle through menus, one for each vehicle you have on the field, and select an order such as "eject". You could also have commands which give whoever is driving your vehicle a recall point so they have the option of returning it rather than being unceremoniously kicked (potentially in a dangerous situation). Dropships could have drop orders letting passengers they are over a dropzone. Some of these orders would be displayed to all passengers, others could be applied to a single seat using a display similar to the current position switching display.
In this way we give vehicle owners control and a means of communicating with people in other chat channels.
Hopefully dropship pilots can suggest ways that vehicle control orders would mesh with their control setup.
Admittedly this level of complexity is fairly pie in the sky but it would be nice to see some expansion in vehicle control in the long term. Short term a squad lock option would be nice. |

There ought to be some kind of kick model. I'm tired of a mentally challenged guy in my gunner seat shooting the enemy MCC, doing nothing but giving away my position. |

How about a single button that you can press say twice fast that kicks everyone but the driver out of the vehicle. This way you could force people out of a dropship when landing to drop them off rather then having to sit there while some slow person takes there time. Or if people need to eject from a falling dropship the pilot could eject people themselves. I can see the ability though for any vehicle were you can just eject anyone being misused or a griefing tool for your own team but this is eve and thats kinda part of it. I think the upside is worth more then any down sides. just dont randomly ride with someone you dont know...like in RL. |

I'v been thinking and here is my suggestion for a solution.
- Each fitting should be paired with a default reserved seating map.
- This can be accessed in merc quarters through neocom.
- Shows a larger version of the seating arrangement for the vehicle like what you see in game.
- Allows you to set any perticular seat to one of four options:
- Reserved for corp members
- Reserved for squad members
- Reserved for contact (select from list)
- open
- The above system would also be accessible through neocom in game to make per session, non permanent quick changes.
- If a user is already seated in a spot and a change is applied to that spot, they will be moved to a non-reserved spot or kicked from the vehicle.
I don't think this can be abused to easily as they need to be in neocom to make changes so its not like you can drop someone into enemy fire. Also you can make changes before you call in the RDV so that you don't have to mess with it while driving or flying.
What do you guys think. Sorry about formatting, couldn't figure out sub bullets. |

When this happened to me the other day, AND in the same evening, i got sniped and my dropship got hacked, i was REALLY wanting a self destruct mechanism. I could have waited for the sniper to almost get done hacking, and then KITTEN YOU! Imean, it was my ship, i should be able to blow it up if I want, teamkills and all, right? |

They could add a feature that allows the owner of the vehicle priority seating. What I mean is that when the owner presses the button to enter the vehicle, that kicks the current driver out if there is one in his seat. This would also give the owner the ability to freely change seats, kicking out anyone in the owner's way. You could then cycle yourself through every seat to kick everyone out if you wanted to. |

pro tip:
don't summon vehicles near other players that you don't want to jump into them.
Not always easy, but if your squad is on cans then shouldnt be too hard to set a meeting point.
K.I.S.S. "keep it simple, stupid" or there abouts.
tldr?
why create systems to counter for a lack of planning or initiative on behalf of the player base. Yes I understand your gripe, but the ability to avoid the situation was entirely within your hands. |

My entire team wont leave their seat for a second to capture a point for fear some blue dot is going to steal their spot. Am I supposed to drive away and make them run alone to the cap point so they don't have to worry? Getting into the vehicle is only the first part, it cripples your ability to act as effectively as you could in a battle. And then there is the noted above, you get a gunner who wants to just shoot at the MCC or keeps shooting the dropship with missiles making you have to fight the bucking bronco the entire match. There should be a way to manage who is allowed in your vehicle. It's your investment and you should have control. |
