Have noticed it too. Tapping O not always exits vehicle. Have to do this couple of times to eventually get out. No easy way to leave before crash or armor gets flat :\

Look closely at shape of Gallente and Caldarii gear. Any clues? How about more aerodynamic shape of Gallente vehicles, dropsuits and even buildings Maybe that's why? How do you want an edgy cube outrun a smooth sphere?
