The SG weapon itself doesn't appear to be OP. It has a very limited range. It's the ability of cloaked up scouts to get in that limit range incredibly quickly, and without being noticed, that makes the SG overperform.

The ScR and its variants aren't in a bad place. As laser weapons they deal significantly less damage to armor, since armor remains the currently metagame go-to, lasers aren't exactly killing people in droves.
