It's a possibility, I run a suit basically like what I described on a normal basis, enhanced plates because they're cheap and give quite a bit of armor (i've lived with the speed penalty) armor repairer because when I do get caught on my own I get...

I did notice something with the laser though, when you shoot someone with it they turn and run, it is like a sniper rifle where it keeps people in cover, not many kills but great support gun.
