There is a good chance that the buff to mass drivers also includes a buff to the ammo capacity also. It is one of the most obvious things CCP could do.

I remember planning to get this rifle before 1.8 because it fit to my gallente assault suit well theoretically. Than I used it thinking that the weapon was kind of subpar...than I got damage mods...than I put them on my suit...than hell broke loose.
