61. What is the scope of the CPM? - in The Council's Chamber [original thread]
I actually think small things do deserve attention. There was actually a fantastic thread created that deserves some attention about the little things in Dust that could be improved. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=84714&am...

62. Election process mecanics thoughts. Discussion welcome. - in The Council's Chamber [original thread]
Klivve Cussler wrote: If CCP is choosing the members of the CPM, then the assumption is that they WILL be beholden to CCP in some way. This can't be stressed enough. The CPM needs to be beholden to the community it represents.

63. Election process mecanics thoughts. Discussion welcome. - in The Council's Chamber [original thread]
Nova, the fact that you don't see the point in the players directly electing who represents them to CCP makes me sad. The players deserve a voice through the CPM on the future of the game and they deserve the right to choose that voice through an...

Klivve Cussler wrote: In the end, I agree that not every member of the councils will pull their weight. Not all of them will seriously consider the workload that they have volunteered for, and some of them will simply be difficult to work with...

66. Election process mecanics thoughts. Discussion welcome. - in The Council's Chamber [original thread]
I think potentially WP over a set period of time (maybe the last three months?) may work. I'm still concerned about people war point farming to get extra votes, but no system we come up will be perfect. My only concern over the WP method is peop...

The MAC adress is a non-starter for me. You have households where multiple people use the same PS3 and I see no reason in disenfranchising them because they only own one PS3. Also, the voting process needs to be something completely in CCPs hands ...

69. Update on CPM Election system? - in The Council's Chamber [original thread]
I know that the one of the main reasons I signed up for the CPM was to establish a voting procedure for a player-elected CPM1. Not really much action on that front. I know one thing is clear I think that whatever we end up with in terms of the vo...

70. Naming distircts for a price - in The Council's Chamber [original thread]
If a corporation or alliance owns a planet you should be given the option to give a name. This would be the name you see in ( ) Eve side and not the System Name and Planet number nomenclature. A great intangible for people to fight for. +1

71. Should CPM's have access to an alt with max skills? - in The Council's Chamber [original thread]
I understand where you are going, but I think somehow implementing a test server would be a much better option.

Personally, I'm a very big proponent of active play being the measurement stick used. This is one of the reasons I really want AFK SP and ISK to go away. It could potentially taint the electorate. This is a free to play game and the players that ...

73. Update on CPM Election system? - in The Council's Chamber [original thread]
While our focus right now is helping to deepen the relationship between the CPM and CCP, it does not change the fact that establishing a player elected council is the main goal that the CPM was appointed for, and it is a task that I will gladly lo...
