I have also had this happen. I just cancel the previous spawn and respawn. The canceling used to be automatic. I've also asked to spawn at a drop uplink and ended up in a drop ship that I didn't even know was on the map.

I've also had this happen. My theory( I am no expert) is that I was disconnected right as it awarded ISK and sp. thus not having any numbers to give you.
