I think people are exaggerating here. If it had crap graphics, I would not play it, no matter how good game play is. Thankfully, it has pretty good graphics, even pre e3 they were decent enough. In the long run, game play > graphics though.

Limbus Always keep a repair tool on you. LAV's aren't very strong, so they need constant repairs and can be repaired pretty fast.

CCP got the Mass Driver right. If they can make it similar, it'll be fine. Hopefully it only kill you if you're right on the body or only within a half meter range. Also remember, this takes up a valuable slot.

Militia ones are crap. They are guaranteed to die from only one Forge gun hit, or a decent swarm launcher. I personally use the Limbus, which is a mini-tank. It's risky of course, because it costs me about 430 000 ISK. But it's amazing.
