I actually want to say this is intentional... At least it doesn't constantly take damage when it's on fire like it did before the vehicle update. Also, in case you didn't know supply depots heal vehicle armor if you're close enough.

Sometimes this happens to me, except that it's because of lag and I don't actually use up any ammo. It just looks like you're actually firing. Or I'll fire, and a second later it will actually fire (so annoying).
