I use the AR and MD as a Logi. I find the lack of sidearm a bit of a deal breaker for the laser, lasers don't help when I need to put someone down at close quarters.

I go with it all 2x shield extenders, 1x armour plate and 1x armour repper. I have found that unlike Eve, mixed tanking works.
