If I deploy a nanohive on a slope while facing downward it more often than not will start to slide down the hill. After about 3-4 seconds of sliding it will disappear under the ground. It does not deploy or show up on my radar, it's gone for good....

I believe you are incorrect. I've been at the very edge of a ledge and still had no damage "bug" occur. While what you're saying is logical I believe it's just a coincedence as moving around in general seems to solve the problem.
