the fused locus explodes on contact meaning if you miss you miss in close quarters it will be deadly but there are so many things it can get caught on. The regular locus is timed so there is the possibility it will bounce and still get your guy.

The heavy as a rule is suppose to dominate cqc this is intended also you can kill a heavy if your smart sneaking behind them and shooting, firing at range mid or long, strafing, etc.
