Yeah going to try it out, I like spaceships and RPGs so why not. Will most likely spec into Caldari or Amarr ships. Any advice, tips would be appreciated. |

Play the starter storyline missions. Start with the industry missions so you get the Venture on the second of the mountain out of mole hills mission. Do not accept any requests for duels initially they are mostly likely trolls with high end ships and friends. |

They have a rookie channel go there and you will be fine. If you plan to do PVP give yourself 7 days to skill into a frigate same with being a pirate. Look for corps who are pirates or the one's that do pvp same for mining. Trust no one. |

That's literally every possible relevant skills maxed. It'll take a lot less time to get it to a decent standard - you can be flying a solid AF within two months, if you focus on it.
As for advice for EvE - find an isk making method you like, rather than trying to mindlessly mission. Some are better, some are more fun. You'll get bored if you mission all day. |

Check out this website: UniWiki
You can say a lot of things about Eve University, but you certainly can't say they have a bad wiki. That thing basically taught me to play Eve. |

SP doesn't mean anything. ISK doesn't mean anything.

stick with one race... cuts your skill time down by a lot.
The game is deep, don't give up on it right away. Try and find a good starter corp to teach you the ropes.
stay in high security... don't go into a system below .05

If going Amarr focus less on armour plates on small ships and go for the Micro Warp drives and energised Plates and just speed tank most of the Level 1-2 Missions in an Executioner, the step up from that is either becoming a Dragoon (Drone Boat) or Coercer Pilot (up to 8 guns).
For Caldari Ships all I needed was the Corax for 1-2's and for 3's I ran Characals. Caldar are great PVE ships with missiles having tracking and massive ranges, though have a low DPS.
If you want I can help quickly run you through the Epic Arc missions so you can put together some ISK.
If I were to recommend skills I would have to know what kind of pilot you want to be. Combat, Industrial, etc? |

8yr EVE veteran myself. The best advice I can give you is to find a good corporation or a few good people to hang out with. At fist buying 2-3 small ships will seem expensive, but a lot of people in good corps will help you out. Make sure you specialis from the start as you only gain SP the passive way. If you want to PVP, train up towards interceptors as a first goal. They're fun to pvp with.
Also: EVE is harsh! You can lose everything you have in a single fight. Always update your clones and never move all your valuables at once. Part of the fun is that it's pretty harsh compared to something like WOW. |

Don't fly a ship, or carry a cargo, or wear an implant that you can't afford to lose.
Make sure to keep your clone at a high enough level to hold all the SP you've accumulated -- not hard to do but don't forget.
Don't get discouraged by people having a lot more SP -- you will be catching up for a long time as it takes them longer to skill into something as they get into higher costing skills. |

buy the most expensive ship you can and go out to 0.0 as soon as possible
look for a corp called "agony unleashed" they offer classes on PVP, and theyre really good! you can also make a lot of money trading the market, buy low and sell higher somewhere else, although transporting them is a... because your not going to have a freighter for a while.
in my experience (ive played eve since may 2003), stay away form the smaller corps. you'll get more out of being part of a big corp/alliance, although they may not take you until your not a noob.
Exploration is fun and you can make a lot of isk doing it. and PVP is super fun, fleet engagements in 0.0 are some of the most fun I've had in a game....ever. |

Join Eve Uni, stay away from people that say they are recruiters from goons, infact if they say anything with the word goon in it close the chat channel, dont do the Sisters of Eve storyline until your in a BC with good weapon skills. If you have to train a skill take it all the way to level 4, keep the safety on while in high sec, don't accept Dual until your ready for pvp or dont mind losing your ship. If your doing a mission and someone comes and helps himself to the wrecks ignore him/her or just leave and do the mission the next day after DT, people only pick a fight if they know they are going to win..
Making ISK in Eve is a lot harder than it is in DUST when your a noob, but if you happen to join a good corp they will help with advice (some with skillbooks & small ships).
