Has anyone here put points into turret skills? It seems stupid to me that the person calling in the vehicle requires skills to fit the weapon, but that person may be piloting/driving and not manning the gun. Perhaps there should be separate skill...

I think Max has the right of it - inability to go prone diminishes willful suspension of disbelief. Going prone should be useful for lowering profile, steadying aim, & taking cover behind short objects, and it should have reasonable drawbacks...
