I spent like 15 minutes trying to figure out how exactly to use it!!!
who would have thought that you have to pull up the VEHICLE menu, of all things, to call it in?!?!?! Anyways, by that point our MCC already got destroyed.
Whatever, sh!t happens lol. Anyways, It seems to me that the only way to get an orbital strike approval is to place down a spawn point as the squad leader, and have all your squadmates continuously respawn at it. Just FYI.
To those of you who have already called in an orbital strike, what's it like? How OP is it, how's it look, etc. |

It's kind of like a bunch of perfectly vertical lightning strikes. It has a warm up that can alert the target to their incoming demise, so scouts and other fast units that are paying attention can escape pretty easily. The damage isn't crazy high, either; super tanks can sometimes survive direct hits and I've never seen an installation die from one. Best to call it down on heavily defended areas or objectives. Snipers are good targets, too, as they tend to be ignorant of their immediate surroundings while looking down the scope. |

That... Really doesn't sound powerful at all. Wut.
The first live video of an orbital strike from eve made it seem like it obliterates everything including tanks and everything around it including installations and sh!t.

This is an orbital Precision Strike... There will be different kinds of Orbital Deployments when the Eve folks are in orbit over the planet. I'd keep a watch out for the new stuff when there's a destroyer in orbit :) |

These are basically "level one" for orbital strikes. The ones that get called down from EVE players will be huge and devastating, and down the line there will be massive, carpet bombing, "pull all your men out of the hot zone because we're leaving nothing alive" types. |

The current orbital strikes are great for dispersing a zerg or covering an attack. They don't do a ton of damage on their own but are great at breaking up groups of soldiers and giving them something else to worry about.
Next time you get one drop it on a defended point and charge your squad in as it goes off. Then win |

Precision strikes don't do much damage, warn the enemies before they come in, and rarely work when called inside communication or biomass. You didnt miss much |

Those trikes come from your own MCC so they aren't that powerful even if MCC is supposed to have XL sized weapons, an entire fleet of dreads how ever ... |

A minute ago the sexy robot girl voice was like, 'Good job, you now have access to an orbital strike.' I opened up the vehicle menu and there was no 'orbital' option. Pissed me off. If I didn't get one I don't want a notification. Spend the last 5m of the match trying to figure out WTF. If I wasn't in a hurry I would have confirmed that I was the Squad Leader. |
