Sneaking up on snipers only works on rookies who don't pay attention. A good sniper never gets killed that way. The best snipers kill and move they never camp. 2 kills and move.

I use the scout/sniper for 3 purposes: Hunt other snipers, support team capturing a point and defending a point from being captured. Kill/death% is not my focus but whatever I can do to support my team. Otherwise Heavy and Logi are my other builds.

I also realized that snipers work good in teams of 2. An engineer drop suit has a health pack in case your buddy gets shot. Also focus on building the skills that pertain to your specialty and stop buying stuff you can't use.
