Personally I run MLT/STD w ADV mods, equipment and unless someone's seriously tanked never found a huge difference between TTK from suit to suit.

I play defense a lot too, best way I've found to make some extra wp, drop one uplink (in an actually useful/defensible area) near one objective and another near which ever you choose to defend.
