I honestly would not care at all. The top of the leaderboard is in general not held by the best players, and, while stats are nice, I don't mind losing beta stats at all, especially to fix a bug.

If you play ambush after you hit the cap you can make better use of your time. Generally by the time you hit 1000 WP the match is practically over, while in skirmish you can get more WP but it is wasted by the 1000 SP cap.

You don't want to fly dropships if you are trying to do well. It's definitely a supporting role. If you get lucky you can get a ton of kills for a teammate who is flying with you, but drophsips definitely are susceptible to getting hit by forge gu...
