The fix in the patch notes was worded wrong. What was fixed was in the past players could lose lock if the target was directly behind them after acquiring lock. This should no longer be the case. Please let me know if you still see this happening.

A little tack-on here - it goes without saying that going this route would mean that you wouldn't be able to call in your salvage if you don't have the skills for it. It would work just as any other item you have in your inventory.
