If you retried too many times during the downtime you got memory leak which froze your game. Check Known Issues sticky in this forum for details

I love how they make gameplay trailer with staged voices and PC graphics for PS4 version. Also there is one thing that PS2 does not have and that is persistency. It lacks anything significant. It is just BF3 in space on a bigger map.
