I really like the Minmatar bonus, with the extra speed that they have, they are pretty good. And when the new sidearms get added it will be one of the more usual bonuses.

If you use a sidearm on the minmatar then you are giving up a low slot or nades or equipment.

I actually plan on running two sidearms when either the MagSec SMG comes out, or I max out the Scrambler Pistol.

Also, I only every use teir 1 Flux and teir 2 AV grenades, I never use locus so my fitting requirements aren't that high.

Trust me, as long as the MagSec isn't insanely hard to fit, I'll be fine.

Anyone complaining about the change to the caldari assault is an idiot. With the increase you actually get 80 shields per extender (remember you get a 10% boost to shields from extender bonus plus the racial bonus on top of that).

Also the reload speed was almost nonexistent....really 10% faster reload speed and you miss that? This equates to 3/10ths of a second difference in reload speed. Are you that bad with math that you cant figure out this is a waste of SP. Since when does 3/10ths of a second mean the difference between life and death in this game? Try never. Never will you see the 3/10s of a second coming into play in CQC when you are reloading.....your reaction time is not fast enough to take advantage of this super small difference. You never actually saw anything worthwhile with the reload bonus.....now the caldari assault has the best racial bonus for the assault suits. Basically the difference is about 1 shot. 1 shot difference is alot larger than a 3/10s a second less reload time. Especially if your smart and you know about the reload cancel that grants you a full clip and cuts the reload time down by about .5 - .75 seconds (or possible slightly more).

Honestly at least the caldari suit has a decent bonus compared to the rest of the suits. Caldari>Gallente=Amarr>>>> minmatar

Currently if you want to complain about a racial bonus minmatar gets the worst bonus period. If you waste space on the minmatar suit by placing a sidearm on it then your using it wrong (unless you only use sidearms period).

Reload bonus skill definitely worked. While guarding the MCC from intruders I timed the length of my reloads until I ran out of ammo. Either it worked or the AR specific reload skill works better than stated in the skill description.

Think about it this way, instead of worrying about that 1 extra bullet from a scram, sniper, AR, whatever...look at it from an instant damage perspective. That slight increase in Shields, can mean the difference between life and death with a single grenade. All and all, more buffer is a good thing.

1/10th of a second reload hardly useful imo, i'll go with the 5 more bullets to death bonus.

Like i said if you dont use any light weaponry then having a sidearm makes sense. But you are waisting space on your suit if you have both a light weapon and a sidearm on the minmatar as there is not enough fitting left on the suit to fill out your other slots.
