/random thought Caldari start with 50+ total hp. Skilling into the shield and armor skills, in the Caldari you get 25% over 210 = 52 and & 25% over 120 = 30, so with the Caldari you have 262 (shield) & 150 armor. The Minmatar starts with 150 (shield) so you get like 37+ & 130 (armor) + 39 with maxed skills. So you start with something around 185 (shield) & 170 (armor). That make the Minmatar with a total of - 100 hp over the Caldari suit. Plus the new bonuses for the Caldari will give them more shields. With maxed shield skills and full proto shield modules, the Minmatar reachs 550 (shield), you only have 2 low slots that you probably need to use with cpu & pg extenders because you spend all of them with the shield modules. while the Caldari has 3 low slots and it just need 4 high slots to reach more than 600 on shields. About the speed? Did you even see the difference in the game of 0.4 speed? The numbers are very pretty, yay Minmatar has 0.4 more than Caldari. In the game, you run next to a Caldari for 1 minute and he can still reachs you with a shotgun. The speed difference is nothing. Maybe do you want a nerf on the Minmatar suits too. Try to play the game first Iron Wolf Saber Saying 0.4 extra speed is nothing shows what you know. Also, what does IWS have anything to do with this?

I always keep a good mix of HP and Regeneration, going too far into either side keeps me open to different kinds of tactics. (Burst damage killing me before regeneration gets to do anything, and bug bites killing me if I focus too much on HP) |

If I ever get a respec for the wasted SP into the Calogi suit come 1.3, I will most definitely be going in Minmatar assault. I've been using the advanced version on an alt and it is one amazing suit. Not only is the movement and sprint speed perfect, but the suit also has the second highest CPU/PG out of all the assault suits.
Without a doubt, the Minmatar assault is the next best thing in comparison to the calogi suit. Just wish proto assaults got their second equipment slots back! |

The Minnie assault to me is definately the hardest assault suit to fit properly out of all of them, any attempt to make a beast frontline assault suit generally ends up with a cpu upgrade leaving you with one low and you need more extenders to match the caldari HP whilst taking more drain on your cpu/pg. I think its most effective use is with a sniper or swarm launcher, but thats just me, good players can make any suit great if they know how to fit and can shoot straight.
Edit: people also need to stop with the caldari assault is king crap, the ammar can have 441 shield and nearly 400 armour with a 3% movement penalty (can comfortably fit a complex ferroscale), proto nades, k-2 nano, complex repper, duvolle and maybe an advanced smg. The fitting capability on that suit is completely disgusting compared to the others and i love it. I hated using the caldari assault, but just opinion. |

Having the regular SMG for CQC, and something like the Scrambler pistol or MagSec SMG (if its long range) will keep the MinAss competitive, especially since any sidearm damage mods will work on both weapons.

Dont get me wrong I love the suit in every other way. Speed is my drug of choice and running a min assault with a sprint speed of 8.77 is tons o fun......but honestly the min assault racial bonus was always the worst but with the caldari bonus getting better now the min bonus looks even worse. |

Its possible when you do bad math. The caldari naturally starts with and higher base shields....enough that it is almost an extender above the minmatar.
On top of that the person is not actually fitting the items he is just stating that the slots can give you enough HP to get more than the caldari (although this is still wrong). The problem is you cant fit all of that on the suit. The Caldari essentially gets a free extender with its base shields but minmatar has to spend the additional fittings to put that on and once you do that you limit yourself in everything else you can carry. Honestly I do like the minmatar suit but to call it the "best" suit is just rediculous. For stats its definitely not the best suit. Caldari naturally gets a regen rate that the minmatar has to spend a high slot obtaining. The delay rate for the minmatar is higher than the caldari.
Caldari with max shield/armor stats can get 595 shields and 150 armor (this is with new stats)
Minmatar with same can get 552 shields and 169 armor.
So the caldari still comes out on top regarding EHP....but this does not show the fact that the caldar would have a 33 shield regen vs min 22. Caldari has 3 low slots instead of 2 and they have 1 fewer shield extender eating up CPU/PG. |

With Minmatar Assault and Scrambler Pistol Operation to V do you get 12 shots, 13 shots or 14 shots?
I don't know how it rounds when it comes to this calculation or whether it applies the +25% bonus to the magazine before or after the +5 bonus from Operation.
Worst case is 12.5 rounded down to 12, best case is 13.75 rounded up to 14. |
