Considering that the MagSec SMG (not yet released) looks like a long range, low DPS sidearm, that bonus is great.
Having the regular SMG for CQC, and something like the Scrambler pistol or MagSec SMG (if its long range) will keep the MinAss competitive, especially since any sidearm damage mods will work on both weapons.

Then why do they explicitly say that the damage profiles in the Dev Blog are what is in the game?

Maybe (don't use the Breach AR) but with Sidearm Damage Mods, that should make up for the loss of damage. |

Also it gets the worst racial bonus. Caldari will be getting the best bonus here on this next update. Honestly Minmatar assault bonus should be 25% increase to stamina and stamina regen.
You only say its the worst due to how few sidearms there are currently, when the other racial sidearms show up, it will be much better. Then again the Assault SMG and Scrambler Pistol have decent range. |
