Went 24-8 with it first time ever used since a single match when it first came out, fresh toon, in the battle academy (sent toon cash for skill books)
**** me dude. This is fun.
We'll see how my militia-gear no-skill plasma canon toon fares out of the academy. So far this is hilarious. lol |

They are fun as heck I run with the AUR one for kicks here and there, corpmate has a proto cannon fares pretty well wonder what it would be like if they gave it a little polish. |

Initial thoughts are that splash damage should be increased just a tad and reload speed from 3.5 to 2.5 or even 3.0 seconds would be pretty nice and I'd call the thing fixed. Pairs well with an SMG to start... can see running a min assault with this thing and a 100-round Ishukone SMG. |

I tried the plasma cannon as a sort of gimmick to run around with when I got bored a couple of months ago, now I have prof. 5 in them and it's very much my "main" weapon now, the plasma cannon fever is catchiing indeed. |

To be fair it is somewhat capable as an AV weapon, I have soloed many MLT ground vehicles and a few badly fit Gunnlogis but against anything else it just isn't going to happen without help or a miracle. |

Did that last week. Skilled PLC to level 1 and put it on my free Dragonfly scout. Total fitting cost: 1500 ISK. Got scores like 15/5, 17/6 throughout the day, with occasional hit of 5/5 and once 10/10. It's fun to see what happens when your wet towel connects. I've hit camping snipers directly, OHKing them. Got guy out of his Charybdis with a $1M hit from this potato canon. Got some black suits surprised with shield peeling and toxin gunning. Got a load of assists for splashing groups that were then offed. Got some nice splash kills around the corners on running enemies.
On the other note: this is completely and utterly useless against vehicles. Shield tank can out-maneuver your flying potato mid flight! Armor tank will just move away and laugh at you. Hitting running LAV is night impossible. Even kinetic'd scout will laugh at your attempts, while bunny hopping on your cold, dead body. This is a single shot plasma MD. Nice look though. |

Every FPS needs one weapon that is just plain bad, but still capable of actually killing someone when the stars align.

I have a dual SCR Pistol Heavy with complex sidearm mods and basic kincats and I wreck with it.
The sidearms do wonders for the TY-5 Breach and a couple of well placed headshots are usually enough to take out other Heavies. |
