Instead of finding better people to play with I will go AFK and consider myself way better than everyone else and just complain on the forums instead about KDR-whores."

The rest go up someplace high and hold sniper rifles. No idea if they fire them. But if they did they might attract the attention of the other team, who are dying for someone to kill. There is no way to even hold one objective with snipers making up more than half of what you have for a team. You can't do anything but feed the other side kills, and throw your gear away.... AFKing is like cutting in line at the grocery store. You may blame the store for a long line, or even be annoyed at the whiney kids in line, but you're still a douchebag for cutting. I played Domination recently and I was absolutely pissed at all the blue dots just sitting in various spots doing nothing. Absolutely nothing. Some were snipers (whom I also despise in Domination because if we don't have the objective or basically if the team needs help, you need to get off your buttocks and come help!) and the rest were just AFKers. In that situation, they all were AFKers to me. I don't play Domination unless my corp or a squad of my friends join me. I don't even care about winning, or losing some gear. I actually like hard fights, when it comes down so close you don't know who won until you see the end screen. That's awesome, but rare. I don't expect it. I just like it. But that's beside the point. What the problem is the team just giving up at the first sign that it might not be an easy win. Then quitting. either leaving the game or running off to sit up in the hills. When it's two or three, or for the sake of argument, four against the entire opposing team? You just get stomped. I expect they will do something to fix the matchmaking. Honestly, even being on the winning side of a massively one sided match sux. It's. boring. And with the way teams are quitting, both sides of the match are standing around waiting for it to end.

I run exclusively in corp (with at least 4 members in the squad when doing Domination) so we get frustrated at first, then laugh as our free suits cost the "winners" waaaaaay more in proto gear than they could hope to earn in the match. Is it annoying? absolutely. Is it frustrating? most definitely. But taking out even 2-3 proto suits has made this match a loss for them, while costing me just the suits I used before we realized that the "team" wasn't even trying to take that objective. Also, I haven't even mentioned yet the sheer exhilaration of a free Anti-Armor suit turning that beasting LLAV/tank/dropship that has been running roughshod over my "team" into a smoldering heap. So yeah it sux, but when Dust gives you lemons, remember that lemon juice can cause a watery buildup in the eyes of those protostompers.

Telling randoms in comms that I took the objective and seeing absolutely no one try to make an effort to assist me in defending lowers my morale of the team. I helped enough by leading the charge, so yes screw that and screw you for thinking how a person of my calibur plays. In fact, I always make a team effort when I play, but that's if everyone else is doing the same and not camping off somewhere in the redline or hiding out in structures not even close to the objective. That was the point captain oblivious, I was making a team effort and tried multiple times to take it back, but when you see no blue's making no sign of trying, your dam wright I will afk to randoms. Beats getting gangraped by almost the entire enemy team because I'm the only target they see by the objective, and losing isk/clones barely getting a kill. I can't Rambo my way in there now can I.
