I disagree, they're honestly not terrible. I bet no one will use them at first (because omg the got nerfed!), but then people will realize they're still pretty good.
I meant they took a hit to damage, splash radius and ammo capacity, all to be expected. But nothing happened to the fitting requirements or the rate of fire. They should still be decent. |

As long as they are still usable unlike previous guns then its all right. All in all I'm glad they balanced it. |

(yeah, for some reason i thought i should explain why i use it )
the nerf sounds reasonable to me though |

Nope. Fraylocks are sidearms. They should not be more powerful that primary weapons. Now it will take some actual skill to use them. |

If you didn't rely on the Core and used the STD or ADV models of the flaylock these changes are just fine. |

I honestly think they shouldn't have touched Direct Damage though. |

Yeah I agree with you. Damage was fine, didn't care about the splash, it was the damn spam and lenient fitting. So now they made it easier to fit with slightly less damage, less splash, but you can still spam it. Well, at least contact grenades took a big hit. |

Are you sure? The stats in the market display the same info as before. Maybe I will have to see for myself in the gameplay. |

i love my adv SMG ... my main proto gallente Logi suit uses it.
it carves up heavies at close range with some artful dodging, and with the optimal and falloff range changes, nets me assists from +50m.
Sidearms generally seem to be about shorter optimal range, higher dps, and thus situational. The changes outlined, mention as much.

Nice one they replacing the skillbonus on flaylocks aswell. Previously you had a base blast radius of 2.0 meters on the core flaylock but with the skill (which you had to get anyway) you had a blast radius of 2.5 meters. With the upcoming changes it will go down to 1.5 meters which is basically -1meter on the blast radius. Furthermore they nerfed direct impact and splash damage. That beeing sayd have fun with your flaylocks. Piece of garbage that you people who specced into deserve. |

Seems like a fair "adjustment" to me.... Still envisage a mass outcry on here about how its useless after 1.3 |

It won't be useless, actually might actually be better for a lot of people considering it can have an 8 round clip (not including minmitar bonuses). |

You people realize flaylocks still have a semi-lock on function right? If you stopped spamming them like crazy you would see the lock box that it produces around a target. So yea they still have some really good function if you learn to use that feature. |

I use them and as long as they fix the issue of the projectile passing right thru the target then nerf is fine. However if I take a shot and I see the missile pass right thru the target then meh, I will just start dumping SP's into SMG again.
Either way come September 17th I will not be playing this LOL lobby shooter anymore anyway. |

I'll try it out before judging it.
To those who think the clip size is getting larger, you're wrong, you still get the standard 3 rounds per clip and 4 if you do the racial min bonus, the ammo pool they were talking about is the amount carried.
One thing I do wanna say though is if CCP wants to reward the skill shot then why did they lower the direct damage? |

They'll still be useful as a finisher weapon for me if I can't get them with my AR, and if I can not panic for a second, it might still help me take out scouts.
The reduction to splash radius is the biggest thing if you ask me, though maybe they could have used one extra round in the clip to compensate for the loss of damage a bit.
::shrugs::
I only use them as a sidearm, so I'm happy. |
