How many of you, would be willing to actually SUPPORT in your LLAV's?
I know I wouldn't mind it, but as the incoming nerf approaches, I only fear they'll become cardboard. I know that they shouldn't be as tough as HAV's (Perhaps HAV's should get a freaking buff >_>) but a combat vehicle shouldn't explode as soon as it touches something either.
Still if the LLAV's were nerfed, how many would continue to use them in their intended role? |

I am new, but in most games I play, there is no need for support - just a need for a good killer. The only support people seem to need is drop uplinks for a better place to launch another attack.
Maybe I just need to find better people who can take advantage of a support class, but how can you defend multiple objectives if the whole opposing team leaves theirs to come stomp your squad down until you have to spawn behind the red line? The only counter to that is to do it better than they do. |

Most games aren't like DUST. LLAV's can Triage (Heal) Other vehicles (HAV's theoretically) "Healing" Ammo, and Uplinks are the most common form of support in this game. Unfortunately, nothing works well enough to make it worth it. Except the LolCal Logi now! |

I'm actually one of those rare peepz i have 2 shield rep and help out fellow tankers but now its kinda pointless to go into any lav seeing ccp announced the lav hit box glitch isn't a glitch but working as intended so good luck driving those lavs seeing that any random idiot with a blaster aims at your tires and kill you out of your lav |

i personally do not like the LAV's especially when they don't show up on the radar and they are 2 feet behind you but i do have to say i do use them to get to places and as bait i don't wish them to be paper thin like some tanks i've seen but when i can fire my entire salvo of proto swarms on a LLAV and still have 1/3 of its shields to go something isn't right i've never really driven one or know the stats for one, i know people have different setups maybe that's what it was but i don't know. i still support the GOOD LAV DRIVERS and not the ones that just use them a murder taxis also i do sort of consider it a tactic in a stupid way. |

Still if the LLAV's were nerfed, how many would continue to use them in their intended role? i was mad when i tried the rep tool... the lock on is insanely long so yes i would of used it if it was within reasonable as it stands now its fetarded to even try, some WP would be nice but first the lock on timer must drop by atleast half. |

Hahahahaha. I believe zero out of the zero people using them as their intended would continue to use them as intended if they were either buffed or nerfed. |

The rep tool is too awkward, lock on time is too long, the lock on cursor too awkward, and the lock too easy to break. A radial rep that auto targets everything in its radius. The other problem is that the driver is too vulnerable when the LAV is stationary.
I have tried using the LLAV for its intended purpose but its just unusable right now. |

I have 2 Limbus fits, and 2 Chary fits: 2 of them are total repping fits (chary for shield, Limbus for armor). Then I have a Chary fittedfor scanning and spying, and a Limbus fitted for being a taxi (not a murder taxi, just a taxi). I make sure everyone is where they should be quickly, and keep them repped and supplied. I guess that makes me a angel among demons |

No one in their right mind would use a logi for the intended role unless they are in a beefed-up fatsuit, as that open-cab will be the death of you if you have to drive slowly and rep infantry.
Impact damage needs to be lessened, LLAVs need to be slower then normal LAVs, and the driver needs a much more protected cab. |

When playing as Logi (not very often but more frequently when I got my squad), I also drive a LAV for my team in Skirmish.
I generally call a Limbus, for the simple reason it is EXTREMELY resistent. It's fitted to be a Taxi for the assault players in my team, as it quickly bring us in the middle of the battle.
Poor offensive potential and basic support abilities but very solid defense. If you keep yourself from chasing enemy infantry you never blow up while driving that thing and it's pretty sweet, to be honest.
If after-nerf LLAV will be able to fulfill this role that well, I'll be happy.
Otherwise, I'll have to try the Recon LAV and see which one of them is better as Taxi. |
