I am a cal logi. Just wanted to say that.
I agree and dis-agree with the nerf.
I agree with changing the racial bonus.
I dont agree about taking away 20 CPU
ATM as a logi I can hardly fit my basic equipment proto modules and proto/adv wapons
As a logi grenades are a dream.
You must realize that it would be necessary to have proto PG/CPU upgrades to fit a good logi bro now
Also I read the dev blog and when they mentioned "People were using the logistics suit as an assault" it troubles me
New Eden is harsh we all know that someway or another
I feel that CCP is taking away our 'dropsuit' freedom when they say stuff like this
In the end if someone is using the logi as an assault
and you want them to use it as a logibro
If you make it harder to use as assault
Chances are they will just go assault and not logi bro
Sorry if my spelling/grammar is bad for it is late and it is too dark to see the keyboard. Feel free to hate ... |

I think logis should have more life look at the vehicles. Just don't allow logis to run damage mods, make equipment a requirment, and make the gun have the same as or lesser meta level than said equipment. Thus no duvolle without pro rep tool, hives, needle, but you could run adv weapon with adv equipment. It would be possible to run pro equipment and a duvolle at the cost of tank thus no possible way to run a proper slayer class.
The logi drop ship runs a considerably higher buffer of shield compared to the assualt variant. |

I'm not saying you haven't done this: you may or may not have done so, but IGÇÖve honed my skills into level 5 Dropsuit Upgrades, Engineering and Electronics so I can theorycraft my fittings to my heart's desire.
But I see a lot of people complaining/concerning about this nerf to fitting costs. What I'm wondering: have those people skilled into high level fitting skills at all? They aren't cheap (777,300 SP level 5) and too some people a 5% increase doesn't sound like much of an increase in the ways of max CPU/PG. If they haven't skilled into fitting skills, I can see where their worries are coming from. |

The Cal Logis had this coming. Can't wait for the Flaylock losers to get the Michael Richards nerf as well. I kid you not these people use the FP as their primary then switch weapons.....It takes CCP time to "fix" things, but by god the do fix it. Now if they could just repair the faulty aiming system....My shotguns weep. |

I ran fully dedicated Logistics back in Codex, and somewhat the same in Chromosome, and being less able to run-and-gun than Assault suits never bothered me.

The logi drop ship runs a considerably higher buffer of shield compared to the assualt variant. If that happens, it should be across the board and not just one suit class, especially when the other 3 suits are perfectly balanced. I use the Minmatar and can't get anywhere near the EHP any of the other logis can get, but I'm a little faster with a racial bonus that makes me popular in Skirmish and PC. |

Its another case of over nerfing something Changing the bonus was all well and good, touching the CPU at all was a mistake Its happened with other stuff in the game far to often and gives credence to the idea that CCP knows **** all about weapon balancing |

I was using the suit as intended (support role, proto equipment across the board, etc.) and all this nerf does is hurt me. If anything, you should have just made the suit the shielding counterpart to the Gallente by taking away a low spot and adding another equipment slot. That would have taken something away from assault wannabes and given support players something useful in its place. As it stands, you've turned away assault players but hurt true logi bros in the process. |

Caldari Logi is fine now.
You have the most slots, doesn't mean you have to fit all of them with proto equipment.
The logistics dropsuit is the most versatile, not the one that can be fit the easiest. So you have have a bunch of different modules in the high slots and low slots. Also, don't forget about pg/cpu modules. The Caldari relies on these more than any other one because of the number of high slots it has. |

Oh please you have a 20 CPU reduction, make some sacrifices in your weapon or modules to fit your equipment, you aren't meant to be a tank. |

I'm skilled to L5 in Electronics and pretty high in the other reduction of CPU usage skills and I won't be able to run proto equipment.
Unless someone is paying me out of pocket I'll choose my life and my killing ability over running a crap tank or a crap gun just so I can lay out good nanohives.
Whoever thought up the 20 CPU reduction thought that out for about 10 seconds. |

Why would he spend 200,000+ on a suit that he can't kill with or won't survive outside of a pub match???
And SMB there is a true logi medic and a good one, but he's also not a dumbass. He's not going to run expensive equipment on a suit made of glass.
He and I have been playing this game a long time. We talk a lot about fittings for logis. We help get our guys squared away.
The 20 CPU nerf made cal logis into assaults not the other way around. If you can't see this then I'm not sure what to tell you. |

I wish CCP could understand this. If the choice is proto equipment or proto modules... its pretty clear what 99% of logis are going to pick. No one wants to sacrifice like 30-40% of their hp to run proto equipment... which is meant to help the team... not themselves. |

I sacrifice my hp to run proto equipment. Sure I can turn my dropsuit into a bossing shield tank but I don't need it. I much rather have nanohives that can repair my team and the ability to drop 3 uplinks at a time. The problem is with the PG which I replace some extenders for shield energizers. Then a cpu upgrade lets me equip anything I want. |

This. Being able to run Proto rep nanos and uplinks is pretty critical, and its worth sacrificing hp. As an Amarr, my road block is PG, though with the new low slot I can fit in a pg upgrade, which actually brings us about even with the other races in pg and CPU. |

"As mentioned above, these skill changes are largely to discourage assault-focused players from using the Logistics suit as their frontline choice. The new Logistics skill bonus isnGÇÖt ideally suited to the Logistics role and is a short-term alteration until proper equipment bonuses come online. Once they do weGÇÖll outline the full skill changes in another blog."
So does this mean that they'll be removing the shield regulator bonus once they decide on completely different logi bonuses, or will these future logi bonuses be in addition to existing bonuses like the regulator bonus coming to Caldari logis in update 1.3?

I run proto cal assault, with suit electronics V, light weapons op V, side arm opIV suit core upgrades IV, grenadier III; modules are all complex, can fit a duvall, but even throwing on a level 1 smg, grenade and neeedle I need a basic cpu upgrade.
I'm sorry callogis buds, I wanna feel for ya cause ya know, same race and all. But I can't.
I really just can't.
Cpu-ups just seem like a needed module now since uprising. |
