Yes, yes, there are much worse problems, BUT...
I love the Assault Scrambler Rifle, its feel, its loud sound scaring the crap out of unaware people and how it melts shields, but...
that barely yellow-orange"ish" gleam pretty much sucks. It's demotivating.
What about phosphorescent green? Electric blue? Lightning purple?
Don't say red, please, this is not Star Wars.

You'll be able to do that SOONtm (I hate that word).
On EVE players are able to do that (Not for aesthetics, is because of the ammo type) and I imagine that in a future, players will have to buy ammunitions, in the case of Amarr weaponry, Frecuency Crystals.
Imagine how could be, installing an Aurora crystal Proto Scrambler rifle, reducing it's Rate of fire (?) but increasing it's range and damage output... Basically, and as many EVE players says, those are Sniping Crystals.
(If anyone sees that i'm wrong on anything, please tell me and i'll fix it... Thanks). |

Agree completely.
However - my dream is that when they finally release weapon customisation, we can swap focus crystals much like EVE. White/Silver short range/high heat buildup/high power, Green medium range medium heat/medium damage, Red long range/ lower hitting power/ slower heat buildup etc.
Would be fantastic! |

I too would like to swap out the frequency crystals to change the color and stats of the the beam. Beam color should not be purely cosmetic - it should give anybody who sees it the range/damage of the weapon. |
