Here is a quick tip. If you are about to hack an objective, throw a grenade (any grenade) in front of the control panel to clear out any hidden explosives. People do this all the time and the tactic has been around since Codex build (closed beta).
Also, have a squad back you up. Heavies were never meant to be alone and are designed primarily for point defense while the friendly assault and scout hunt down the enemy as a logibro repairs you. |

No one else has a counter to explosives either.
I support heavies be scary again, but that is the counter we have to you. Otherwise, you are an immortal armor clad heavy kitten gun wielding behemoth.
Be happy that you have heavy weapons. |

Worked for Brink ok, maybe not
Worked for Syndicate ok, maybe not
Worked for Ace Combat: Assault Horizon ok, maybe not
Notice how most of the successful examples are games which received patches soon after release, and have seen continuing support for a decent amount of time post-release. Other than Assassin's Creed, each of the successful games has had consistent change, mostly positive, over a relatively long period post-release.
The ones that failed suffered because of a lack of support in at least one timeframe. Brink failed at short-term support, with their initial release needing (and not receiving) urgent attention. The game shipped broken, and the devs waited FAR too long to fix it. Syndicate just never got patches for any but the first identified problem on the XBox 360 version. Assault Horizon's oficial website had been closed down before they got around to patching the game, and most of the game-breaking issues have been left untouched, and it's still in need of a LOT of further improvements. |

I see your point but... If you patch a game to break it more... what more can we expect? Uprising ftl. |

Counter MD's and Corelock's with range. Done.
It sounds to me like the OP is still figuring out what to do as a heavy. Working in a squad that understands and uses their heavy will make other squads cry that the heavy is OP. I'll give you a hint, the fact that someone has to use cover, has something to do with you being a heavy. So they can pop out and throw a bomb? That's because no one has shot them in the back yet, or your squad members are busy trying to single-handedly take on everything in the game. Or better yet, why didn't you push on them, forcing them out of cover? |

btw - to all these squad comments. Are you saying this game isn't broken? Because 1 v 6 anyone can win. Please shut up about it - it's not the point of discussion. It's the inbalance any heavy faces when he dies instantly to a FP or MD with no counter to prevent it.
Scrubs. EDIT: Oh wait this isn't for me, why did I read Sota?? Lol |

You must be ********. Your blogs say we can make perfect soldiers - that would imply verastility. WRONG - HEAVIES COST TOO MUCH FOR YOU YOU TO EVEN GIVE US PLACE HOLDERS ACCORDING TO CPM.
Respond to me and explain to me why you think it's okay to launch an unfinished game - I'd love to know. Don't walk on grenades. Use cover. Look for REs. Shoot the guy with the Flaylock. You must suck to believe that to be the answer. You can't counter explosive weapons simply by shooting, they duck and fire behind terrain. Do you even PC bro? Oooh! I know how to counter that! Get a teammate to flank instead of trying to solo as a heavy! |

There's just a big difference between flux and MD/FP. You can run before the flux detonates and it won't kill you.
Fattiest are sorta just effed.
Wouldn't be so bad if it didn't feel like it takes 3 more bullets to kill me then any other suit at my meta level. |
