So currently flux grenades can kill, (not intended and shouldn't ever be) But what i propose is that the Flux also does these things.
Large blast radius, it is already 6 meters i believe and should stay like that
High damage, it should insta take out shields, (Not for tanks though)
It delays shield regen. It should turn that ten seconds into 13 for std 16 for adv and 20 for proto. (More reason to spec into higher tiers.)
A different variant of the flux grenade that disables the HUD (Heads up display) Meaning you can't see your radar, call in an OB. or anything that involves using your arm but you can still move and shoot. This wouldn't remove your shields but give them less resistance. For example if a gun did 100% damage to shields it would now do 130%.
If the locus grenades keep a contact version, fluxes should have a contact version as well. Small blast radius, like 3 meters around 800 damage for standard 1000 for adv and 1300 for proto. |

Part of what you are saying should be made into a different grenade, like the disabling of the HUD...that sounds more like an EMP grenade, if they add what you are saying to the already powerful flux, it will be too much. |

I agree with the original poster up to a point, however, I will show what I think would be more fair.
Longer recharge of shields, by 1 at basic 3-5 at proto (Reason being is if you can not get your shields back up this is a huge problem, it is a very powerful tool, but it should not be able to completely destroy a build type for a long time, if I hit someone with a regular gernade if they survive it, they get their shields back quickly enough)
For the second type of gernade you listed, an emp type gernade this seems a bit well silly right now as that friendly fire is on, I could take a rocket launcher to the face of a friendly and it will not damage them at all. If friendly fire could be turned off during this time, this gernade would be hugely effective at causing chaos, otherwise people will just shoot at anyone they see till the radar turns back on.
In referance to the on contact gernades, they are currently trying to get these out of the game I believe and they are AUR buys only I think, I'm not sure about this though, but an on contact version of the flux gernade would be evening it out, as long as they meet the same requirements. |
