I'm on my phone but i just wanted to complain about why our skills do so little with the main focus being armor and shield skills for vehicles.
They hardly do anything. To the point where its dumb to invest in them past what you need to unlock modules.
A ton of CPU reduction on shield skills. Useless compared to an increase if efficacy for the related skills.
Armor gets a tiny tiny return on sp to module efficacy but its still almost nothing.
What is the situation when compared to dropsuits? |

What is the situation when compared to dropsuits? When it comes to modules with dropsuits, armor sucks ass.

from what I`m thinking we have STD-ADV modules so we can expect PRO modules such as shield modules and armor modules, this will increase HP or HP recharge rate depending on the type and will be PRO so a larger step then the current ADV, this will cost much more PG/CPU per module and by getting it to lv5 you will have eccess (soon) to those PRO modules with a high CPU/PG count. another thing is we are only using STD vehicles but STD-PRO turrets so that will allow vehicle users more flexibility and payback for specializing, but that's all 1 day, atm specializing is a sink hole but it seems CCP is paying more attention then ever (excluding when they are OP). |

Not so much the modules themselves but the skills related to them. Do they increase how well the modules work? Are they significant? |

vehicle module skill bonuses are CP/PG oriented, vehicle skill bonuses go by role and race, for example the Caldari ADS has +2% damage to turrets per lv due to its Assualt role but its racial variant it has +1% to shield resistance modules. the gallante has the same but for armor rather then shields. these vehicle skills are only available for that race and role though, I can`t get the bonuses from the Caldari logi on my Caldari ADS.
turret wise they removed proficiency, this is fine... for now... but when they add the 2 projectile turrets and the lazer turrets they will need to bring back proficiency and it give excess to turret variant damage mods, the reason to that is because if they keep as it is you will get 6 different types of turrets, 2 diff sizes per type and STD-PRO damage mods along with other things just from turret upgrades.
so again what they do:
cheapen turret upgrades skill by 1x. move type and size turret damage mods to the turret`s size & type proficiency skill book, this could be a 3-5x skill. |

You sure had a lot to say when none of it had to do with the topic.
I'm wondering why armor and shield skills, for vehicles, do nothing.
I'm also wondering if its the same for dropsuits armor and shield skills. |

Because CCP likes to nerf pilots and their toys. They've been nerfing us since the first build, with changes that we said we didn't want, actually most of them were completely backwards from what we requested, and what everyone agreed with, AV'ers included. They just don't ******* listen to us. Oh, and then they claim that we're going to have to wait a few builds before we get any changes. |

Yah, I really do wish that the CCP vehicle team would stop smokin dat crack.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about.
Currently, in this game, we have only std level tank chassis, yet we have prototype AV weapons. Who the **** thought that this ******* bull**** was a good idea?
Why is it taking so ******* long for CCP to balance vehicles? What the **** is the hold up here? |

The majority of players aren't pilots, and they don't like having to skill into stuff to damage pilots with. So instead, they've all just moaned and whined about vehicles being "OP" for a year straight, and CCP just keeps nerfing them further and further and further and further into the ground. |

I actually feel sorry for Pilots right now ... I created an AV dropsuit specially to deal with "Murder Taxis", and the side effect is that Dropships makes nice target practice..i'm terrible sorry.. but i going to carry on doing this to CCP fixes the LAV's. |

Most skills save CPU on PG intensive modules where CPU is already small, its should be saving PG if anything at least they would be more useful
Also in comparision to dropsuit skills vehicle users miss out on alot and its is clearly bias towards dropsuits since they get the 5% per level for PG/Shield/Armor hp, prof skills which add more damage which our turrets do not have that while being stealth nerfed to 1% yet again |

Honestly, I like it this way. It shows who the real tankers are. I have 6 mil SP spread acrossgunlogis, maddies, and charys with just enough SP in to fit all the modules and I win 90% of tank battles; the ones I lose are bc my tactics sucked. If HAVs become SP based instead of skill based, then tactics count for so little. I don't know if you were here for Chromosome, but it didn't matter how good you were if you only had a gunlogi with a railgun; you would never beat someone with 11 mil SP in tanks- ever.
On the other hand, tanks do need to be better and the best way to do this is to give us proto tanks which would be designed using the same forumlas as dropsuits are designed around. (doubled PG/CPU over standard, with more slots in better places) |

I got my sagaris for the last month of chromosome. It felt amazing.
I have 8m invested solely into caldari and i am pretty disappointed in the tiny tiny returns on sp to efficacy.
I would prefer it like dropsuits where someone with 8m sp invested in a single role has a significant advantage over someone with 4m into the same role. I just don't feel like my sp is getting me anywhere that I haven't already been since I first got proto missiles/rail. |

Meh, relying on SP for an advantage vs other tankera is weak. Skill is what matters and it seperates the good from the bad very easily. |
