I rarely die by LAV drivers. It's too easy to sidestep, and predict where they're driving. You have the upper hand because you have the ability to change direction last minute; they, however, can't turn on a dime so quickly.
As I stated in the title, the majority of LAV deaths are from people who already suck at maneuvering. Not only do you guys consistently get run over, but you also move straight toward your targets, stand still while shooting, etc etc.
Please, just for the sake of ending the whining, learn how to strafe/maneuver properly.
I do support a LAV nerf (make them cost isk like the other militia equipment), but I don't think the uproar is so deserved. At first the LAVs were annoying, but I and others learned how to adapt and are now acrobatic gymnasts who hop across the field.

That is a very narrow minded view. Anyone can die from a LAV - it only takes a second for one to come around a corner and mow you down while you're trying to avoid being shot by someone.
Also heavies (and armor tanking assaults) don't have the sort of maneuverability to just 'sidestep' out of the way of LAVs, which can by the way be extremely fast. |

Here is a simple list of rules to help you not get hit by an LAV. I found them on a kids safety site.
Excerpt "Each year, children are injured and killed by cars. Kids can be hit by cars when crossing the street, while playing in the road or when riding bicycles. Make sure that your children are as safe as possible by showing them ways to avoid dangers on the streets."
