It looks like the Ferroscale Armors provide moderate armor bonuses with no movement penalty. I use proto logi for sniping works with Enhanced Std. Armors, so the movement penalty doesn't bother me since I stay out of range. When I get hit by another snipers, I survive 80% of the time because of the armors. So when I get hit, it helps me to determine where the shots come from before taking the enemy snipers down. I like that the Ferroscale Armors are more lighter, which give no movement penalties, making it seem ideal for snipers. But I don't know if it's worth it for me. I thought maybe it is much more fitting for Minmatars. Do any of you guys use it? |

They are completely worthless for the massive amount of PG/CPU they use up, I personally have two basic plates stacked on my suit, the penalty isn't bad enough to hurt my game. |

They're ok if you want a bit more buffer without the speed loss, but these things strongly favor shield tankers instead of armor tankers.
I personally don't use them, because they're just about the same as a shield extender, but without the massive regeneration ability. You're better off with a vanilla plate / rep combo. |

Depends how much you value speed. Keep in mind that people that don't like them don't value speed as highly as other things (HP/CPU/PW) |

Hmm. Sounds like it is hard on the Logibros too if the PG/CPU requirement is high. |

If you can fit the complex ferroscale, it's worth it. Hybrid tanking is getting more mileage out of these plates but could be more viable if the repper bonus worked with the reactives. |

No they boost armour by a **** poor amount and are not worth using.
They give no benefits to me as an assault since I don't have many low slots anyway. |

Proto Logi with x5 Ferroscale Armors would have decent armor bonuses with no movement penalty vs x5 Std. Armors with high HP and movement penalty....hmm. I guess the Ferroscales would work better if the Logi use close-range weapons like AR or Submachine guns, but probably not for sniping.
I think perhaps the Ferroscales would be beneficial for the Minmatar that usually have fast speed, but can be provided with a little more extra HP and for the Amarr players that usually gripe about the movement penalty. |

I use them on one of my scout fits, got bored so I tried 'em out. My total health equals some assaults with them, keeping the speed of a scout. I guess it's a niche item, I just use 'em for something different, gone toe to toe with a lot tougher fits than I do with my other fittings |

They are more penalizing than regular armor plates due to the extremely high CPU/PG costs. |

Thats if a proto logi could stack them, my proto Gallente logi can stack 5 complex plates, but comes at the sacrifice of shield modules and a weapon lol. |

Be thankful that the Logi was provided with only one weapon slot. Besides, sniping is not the only thing I do. I'm a support as well, providing nests like nanohives and drop uplinks for whenever my squadmates need them. I don't see anything wrong with Logi being snipers. There's heavy snipers, assault snipers, scout snipers, etc. |

Armor tankers only care about their HP. Speed is a side effect. The ferroscale is supposed to create stronger scouts. The reactive plate is simply a nod to the dual tanking assaults who fit basic reppers and a plate in their low slots. I wondered why they are buffing shield tankers. Maybe more anti shield weapons coming soon? |

I use it...
For my proto shield tank Minmatar logi.
4 complex shield extenders, 2-3 shield regulators, and 1-2 complex ferroscale plates. It adds just that little extra bit that has saved me on more than one occasion whenever someone -does- hit me with a flux grenade, (or I hit myself with one) and I'm turned into a bare armor tank. Then when my regulators kick in in like 3 seconds, my shields are almost instantly maxed, and my armor slowly regens with its base 5 hp/sec. But whenever I've found myself winning engagements with less than 60 armor, I thank my ferroscale plates for their extra support that kept me alive. |

You're going to have to go to "confession" for that lie. No one uses Logis for "logi stuff". It's just a better platform for assault, than assault suits are. It's like having a "Gamer's For Christ" tag, and thinking that they're actually religious. The whole thing is just stupid.

They aren't too good by themselves, but I think they would be good as an additional plate to put on besides regular plates, if you want to keep your speed up.
And if anyone is wondering about reactive plates, I currently use them on my (soon to be) minmatar logi alt. Since I already have built in armor repair, reactive plates help my tank a little, and help my repair rate a little. |

Even then we can't have HIGH HP, the highest HP we can get is only 60 more than what a Caldari suit can get using all complex shields and armor mods (Not counting the Logistics suit) |
