so while we wait for the militia lav's to get nerfed I'm curious how you guys kill these things?
so far for my squads, a high end blaster tank and a high forge gun has been the only reliable way to kill these things.
swarms have proved utterly useless, av grenade are about the same.
so how do you guys deal with them?

Honestly? I just stand on something that cant drive on and take pot shots at the driver with my rifle until he gets scared and runs away Only works for like 20 seconds though til he comes back around |

Running them over with a tank works well, karma smiles upon you.
Elevated position protoswarms.
Rail tank with a good gun and nack for predictive firing. |

ya my general tactic is similar to this, I just stand on something unless we have a solid HAV in the squad. |

Unless the driver sees the proxies, stops the car, and shoots them with his turret.
The easiest way is to shoot out the driver with a blaster from an LAV or tank. Seems like it is all too easy to die from blaster turret splash damage ever since 1.2 was implemented. Infantry weapon splash damage has little effect. |

While its not that effective, I like to call in my free militia LAV and try to trap him in some kind of crevice or against a wall, then shoot him out of his seat.
Flipping them upside down is probably the hardest thing to do thanks to CCP putting in a stupid auto correcting gyroscope into the LAV. |

The only time I've killed one was when it drove over my poxy mines, did a flip, got stuck between a wall and a building and was finished off by my swarms hitting its underside. |

I blew up two yesterday in one match, but in both cases the driver was not in the vehicle at the time, he got out to chase some guy down so while he wasn't home I pounded it with 6 avanced swarm shots with 4 damage mods, and 3 advanced av grenades then dropped a nano hive and hit it with 2 more grenades to finish it off. |

1 merc with a PC , 1 with MD, 2 AR, 1 scram and a shot gun. All carry prox mines and then half carry flux while the other carry AV grenades. Find a choke point with high traffic (a wall is a plus) and have the entire squad mine the path. If you have a wall put all this mines in front of the wall. PC stands in the mine field or in front of the wall. Split the flux and AV so they can hit the lav from both sides. Wait. When the lav approaches start shooting it with the plasma cannon.
The PC will signal the lav that the PC merc is ready to die and start heading your way. Right before the the lav gets close to the plasma cannon start throwing flux and and MD rounds then as the lab gets closer throw av. The prox should finish off the lav considering there will be almost 20 on the field. The AR/scram mercs should be providing cover fire.
If the merc jumps out go to work with the shot and AR/scram. The shotty is for cqc squad protection, MD is for spreading out the heard and vehicle DPS and the three assault mercs are form mop up and suppression. This squad working together and communicating should wipe out any lav. |

wich is alot easyer when they switch to their turret to destroy the proxes
or turn around and dont enter that area

ya I shoot gunners off those turrets while they are moving full speed, it's fun =).
if they are standing still they may as well be wearing a shoot me sign. |

It takes 3 lai dai packed and 2 ex-o nades to finish off a poorly fit stationary charybdis... pretty stupid tbh.
They must have something like a 40-50% resistance to explosives. |

Yup... right about 50% resistance then.
my charb has a statis 50% resistance on my shields alone, not counting the explosive resistance, so yes, they do indeed have 50% + resistance |

The major goal of the squad is to stop an lav horde more than it is to stop one lav. 2 good mercs with av should be able to take out one lav but as soon as two or three are on the field they become hard to deal with. This is a specialized team made to hit av fast and hard. It will work on tanks if the wall is removed but murder taxis love walls.
If all the suits are logi then there will be plenty of room for all the logi tools and still be an effective av squad. |

Jeez. Shouldn't take that much. >_<
Best way: get a logi dropship with advanced or proto ion turrets (I don't know what they were, I was just a gunner), shoot the driver. Works really, really well. |

AV nades are EXPLOSIVE most LLAVs are SHIELD TANKS how fcuking stupid do you have to be to not understand why it takes so many hits.

A single flux to a shield tank LLAV CUTS. IT. IN. HALF
It takes two Lai dai av nades to take out an armor LLAV this whole thread is a bunch of whiners comparing apples and oranges, two different things |
