How about calling it a Gallente (They are the plasma people, right?) Heat Lance? The lance converts it's ammo to plasma and uses the plasma to accelerate the user forward. The excess heat from the conversion process is channeled into the front area of the lance creating a super heated point similar to the nova knife.

The nova knives are basically what he's talking about, except they charge faster, hit twice and probably do more DPS than a sword would. All you would have to do is exactly what you do for knifers already. Casually walk backward and keep firing as they desperately and pathetically try to cut you. You must not understand a joke.. It would be nerfed just for being much cooler than anything else currently in the game. ARs will get jelly and ask for it to be nerfed because it's so damn cool. get the joke now or do I have to go full ****** for you to understand?
