Who else fights for the Federation? For freedom? For democracy? For our ***hole president who we can't help but admire?
P.S. If any HR people at a Caldari megacorp reads this, please please please keep sending me the gear. It's nothing that I hold against you, it's just... the idea of the State. I hate it. But I'd like to keep a very profitable relationship going. |

Elections. Anyone has the potential to have massive influence over the development of the Gallente Federation. Look no further than our current president. Little more than a rodent! |

Yes but sometimes the people make the wrong decisions, either through naivety or ignorance, why not alone reward those who have earned the right as valuable citizens to vote upon the leadership. The CEO's and executives of the States various corporate boards who keep the State afloat.
An example- Tiberius Heth, he was supported by the people, and look where that got us. War on Caldari Prime, the loss of Billions of ISK in titan loss, a terrorist attack on a space station.... |

I find it amusing that of the four great empires, the Gallente are always the most common to be found using other race's technology.

The Federation makes it easy to soar to the top and even easier to plummet to the bottom. As you let the wicked gain seats of power, they ensure that the climb to the peak is always a slippery one. Ranks of poor flood the federation steets, constantly getting kicked back every time they step forward. These are the accounts the Federation hides under its guise of freedom. |

The problem with democracies is they are intended to represent all the people. Part of the people are the wicked, and they have just as much say in the matter as the just. Only difference is while the just seek to maintain peace and order, the wicked seek much more drastic change. They are more motivated for they have more to accomplish, and they have no morality issues with doing what must be done to assure that their goals are met. |

How so our Empress is the purest form of duty to the Faith, she does not sin, and we follow her example. We are not so righteous as her and we do err from the path, but Empress Jamyll is a beacon of light in this universe for all to see.
There is no point discussing such things with you since you have made it abundantly clear you will not address the flaws of the Federation and seek only to sow harm and descent within those outside of the Federation.
That is the task of the weak, and not worthy of the faithful's time. |

Considering all the horrors the New Eden cluster has to offer, it's always seemed odd that people get so fixated on the Empire. They're not the only slavers, and they're certainly not the worst. If you think the Amarr are ruled by the wicked, you might want to do some research on the Sani Sabik. They're like the Amarr, only minus the basic belief in a benevolent deity and plus a good dose of power worship. They consider bleeding prisoners to death a sacred act, they're something of a major player in "pirate faction" politics, and they're allied with Sansha's Nation.
It's kind of a problem. |

Fighting for country is a ludicrous thing to do. One being that no profit comes from it. Two all of the States in New Eden are corrupt. If people would open their eyes they could see that no matter what state you come from you have been lied to. You wanna know what i fight for. I fight for profit even if it means going to extreme measures to get it. If you tell me to blow up a solar system i will find away to do so if it means stopping a lying, and corrupt state to fail. |

The Empire isn't corrupt either, it is divine and we are people chosen by God to bring his message to the furthest stars of the furthest systems.

That situation was different both economically and politically. The megacorporations had lost their way, and resentment flowed from perceptions of nepotism and mismanagement. One good thing to come out of Heth's rule was a restoration of the meritocracy; the megacorporations will not likely be so foolish as to forget the lessons learned.
Of course, there is still plenty of work to be done. |

Respectfully, the only person in the Empire who has, as yet, shown the ability to sweep away any foe that lies before her is the Empress. In which case, it appears that absolute dedication under the heavens appears as a mysterious ball of green plasma, or possibly some kind of energy.
I do not mean to mock your faith, sir, but it does not seem ... prudent ... to make statements that are obviously and verifiably untrue, at least in the short term. Perhaps the Amarr will indeed sweep aside their enemies, but the progress of the last hundred years should make it abundantly clear that if your god is granting you such power, he is playing a long game.
In the short run, respectfully, you do bleed like the rest of us.
That said, I have to agree that selling one's loyalty to the highest bidder and claiming this as a particularly moral act is almost as bizarre as siding with Sansha's Nation out of philanthropy. |

All I mean to say is that anyone with the will power, and the dedication will undoubtedly triumph over those lacking such qualities, not that the empire is doing such.
We have will, but we fight empires with similarly strong wills. It is a true test of faith.
However when facing men and women with no sense of unity or purpose they shall be utterly defeated, for they have lost all sense of being.

... hm.
I apologize, templar. Please forgive my arrogance.
Speaking only for myself, war has been a matter more of awareness and of calculation than of faith: a clear mind and a calm heart. Yet ... maintaining these, being able to think clearly under pressure, being able to shake off shock, and doubt, and calmly step through an uplink knowing that it is going to feel as though your nervous system were being microwaved?
It is true: faith does have something to do with it. |
