I don't know if anyone has posted a topic about this or if a dev has acknowledged the fact that people who played and/or capped out on Wednesday lost out on a potential 570k or 856k SP. I was apart of the group that capped out on Wednesday because I wanted to get the maximum SP possible, and I know people are going to say "Why did you play on wednesday , you couldn't wait one day?" I capped out on Wednesday because CCP confirmed that if we did manage to cap out we would not be affected. Its not the point that the event did not go as planned, it the fact of how they resolved it. The people who didn't play Wednesday and capped out Thursday got 571,200(856,800 with active booster) and CCP's answer to the script not working properly was was to just reset everyones skill cap back to 571,200 which basically gave the people who did not play Wednesday that played Thursday and additional 570K(856k) SP which in total is around 1mil+ SP or 1.7mil.

This is one of those situation where the developers had good intentions but something went wrong. I just hope the developers compensate for what happened or at least give feedback to this because it would be unfair to basically give people who didn't take CCP's word an extra 570k SP and give the rest nothing.Hopefully CCP has a way of keeping track of everyones SP or at least have a way of remotely keeping track of it.

Feedback would be appreciated, especially from a dev on this matter.

That still is not a valid argument though , of course expect it.. but I mean dude, we all asked about if tons of times in thread after thread and then 2 actual developers say not to worry.. you think they might actually have it right. But apparently, these dudes really just don't know wth is going on over in shanghai , probably just lots of blow and tranny hookers

Let me tl/dr this for everyone.
OP capped out Wednesday because he's a try hard (and I suspect he thought thurs was a cap reset). it was "supposed" to only add the remainder to your cap, that is to say-remaining sp cap plus 2(normal week cap)

So instead of maximizing his potential sp- he essentially lost the ability to farm ~380k sps ....
Keep in mind he still can potentially get FOUR weeks worth of sp (more then we were even promised for the event)
Other ppl potentially got SIX weeks worth and that's the complaint....

You did not Lose anything. You cannot Lose what you didn't have.

As I have said before, I lost out on the chance to earn 6x SP.

Don't know if just late trolling or if seriously doesn't play Dust often.... They reset the triple SP.
I wonder if the DEV have acknowledged this guy for his OP trolling ability...

I am not a tryhard , I just enjoy playing dust,but that does not mean it was my fault. I know the script for the event went wrong and im not complaining about the goof up, im complaining about how it was fixed. This my first time seeing this happen from CCP because i have only been playing Dust for about a month and I know people are going to be like "well this is CCP, learn from it."
I never new CCP had a history for messing up events or fixing it the wrong way.

and get four weeks worth of SP,not possible if you capped out on Wednesday.

is it really that difficult to set variables and input to a simple equation? if so it raises serious doubts in my mind about CCPs coding ability.

your cap resets as usual but we still have 3x sp. its like an eclipse

the people that got the best deal
were the people that grinded all day thursday not wed
I used like 30k SP of the regular cap on wed
thur I grinded my remaining 3xSP t0 about 90k
got on fri and had the 570 something SP reset

Or CCP could have just avoided all potential problems by starting the 3X SP event on Wednesday, but that would've made WAY too much sense.

They made the event on start on Thursday because of July 4th.

If the event ends on the 10th July (GMT) then it will end during downtime of the reset so no triple SP on Wednesday after downtime. I can not remember them saying they are extending the event to the 11th July only resetting the bonus SP on Friday.

It would be nice to get another day after the SP reset but I am not expecting it.
