Is this a thing that happens now? I didn't even notice, I just thought I wasn't paying attention and had horrible timing or it was a special class of grenade.
I vote against having explosion on contact on the grounds that that's not how grenades work, and that they shouldn't work like that.
Mass drivers and flaylock pistols are fine though since exploding on contact is their nature. |

I choose option C: Balance them accordingly. Reduce the number carried as the housing to make sure they don't blow up on your hip while running at full speed takes up more room than the standard grenades. Thus they are still cool and are limited in a way. Max carried at proto level would be 2, and the standard would be just 1. And make them drain more nanohive nanites to avoid nanohive spam nades. |

... with the caveat that I mostly mind because there's no ISK-purchased version until proto. Either require advanced skills for fused flux in the first place, give us ISK-based advanced 'nades, or drop them altogether. Especially considering their prohibitive cost at the proto level, they're PtW, and that's not what I signed on for. |

I don't really give a crap whether they stay or go. Their great for popping those pesky scouts before they get to close when you don't have 3 seconds to cook a nade. In the end though cores will be much more effective, it's a mini nuke. Where with the thukker double kills never happen.
Also by my understanding fused grenades do not equal contact grenades. Fused grenades simply have a much shorter fuse time of 3second instead of six while retaining the same damage and radius of a standard locus. The contact grenades have 600damage with a 2.5 radius and keeps the 6 second fuse but will explode on contact regardless of fuse time. |

+1 they make the skill of properly cooking grenades useless and gives people an I win button when they start losing a gunfight. Plus the fact that we already went through this in closed beta we didn't want them then and they were removed if you want to keep them in the merc pack then fine but completely remove them from the market.

I had to interpret some votes based on +1/-1 confusion so 1 to 2 vote error is possible +1 Contact grenades work in games like Tribes because of the extremely high TTK and focus on high-speed movement that game has. You'll also notice that those don't do enough damage to insta-gib a player.
Contact Grenades are no good for this game.
