Why on earth would you give it less range and 100 less DPS than a normal AR... It just doesn't make sense. |

If the TAC and breach AR swapped damage and clip size with the TAC given its prenerf RoF they would be perfectly balanced and would match their weapon descriptions. |

Read the breach AR weapon description and the TAC description. I'm on vacation so if 1.2 changed the descriptions then my bad. |

A lot of people have already stopped using TARs, especially when you have an advanced Scrambler Rifle for cheaper than an advanced TAR. There's no need to run it into the ground. It'd be 10 times worse than the breach currently is, and that's saying something. |

The problem with the breach ARs isn't any of it's attributes,it's the price.
Basically, the only way to use a breach AR is something similar to a shotty. It's devastating up close and in CQC against most types, but the CreoDron is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced (77k+,really?!!!) for it's limitations. That's why you don't see that many of them on the battlefield anymore.
If the CreoDron Breach were even 1/3 the cost, bringing it down to around 50k,that would make way more sense, considering it's limited use and abilities. |

51 damage but with the prenerf RoF which was 700+ rpm (I don't remember the exact number) and keeping its range it would be a medium damage AR with good RoF and long range. Giving the breach the TAC's current damage would make it a high range low RoF weapon with short range and a small clip mag if those are also switched. Both weapon's would be in their respective niche matching the descriptions that CCP wrote. |

If only the commando could actually fit anything worth crap. 27 PG on the standard, really?
Anyways, the overheat on the Scrambler Rifle is basically its equivalent to the TAR's small clip size. |

I tried both, TAR is just better. |

TAR is back to working how it should, It's not meant for run'n'gun or cqc, it's designed for a support role, offering your squad some precise and nasty hits from better range. Same for the burst, if you know how and when to use that gun, it's immensley powerful, use it wrong and its tripe.

I've been having pretty good success with hipfiring the breach AR. Maybe the breach is supposed to be a hipfire/CQC specialty weapon (in spite of what the description is)? |

Actually, I've been holding my own against protos (whether or not they are sucky protos, who can say).
The normal AR wouldn't help much the way I'm using the breach (which is not the same way I would use a normal AR). The lower fire rate and tighter hip spread makes it more controllable, so I can bob and weave while landing hits more easily. I'm just wondering if it is supposed to be a CQC weapon, or if it's just broken to the point where it's not usable otherwise. |

But CQC weapon are supposed to give you high fire rate low damage, so that a missed shot doesn't reduce your total DPS as much as from lets say a burst AR would. |

Confirming the breach is a bit weak in its current state. Tried it as a counter to the pre-nerf TAR. Was OK at close range and rubbish at anything beyond that. However, the standard AR was still better even at close range.
My findings Short range: AR > Breach > TAR Short-Medium: AR > Breach > TAR Medium: AR > TAR > Breach Medium-Long: TAR > AR > Breach Long: TAR >>>> AR >>>>>>>>>> Breach
Burst AR lies between AR and TAR in the above. |
