So i find that as a heavy, needing more range sucks but the Flaylock gives extra range
It's insane. It must be at least 60 meters. If there out of range from a hmg the flaylock will take care of them.
once you find out the way the arc works which isn't that hard to find out. or get used too. It's a beast at a distance.
Getting direct hits isn't that hard with some practice. So not only does this gun have almost no pg usage. Is a beast with splash damage a beast at cqc it is also good at semi long range. |

With splash this high, who needs direct hits?

I don't see every other Merc (or even half that) running around with any Flaylock. Until I do, it isn't a problem, merely a perceived one.

These aren't facts. I'm willing to entertain that this weapon is a problem. Show some killfeeds, let's get some statistics on it. Otherwise, it's just whining. |

If you are getting hit at range by an FP it is your fault though. You can dodge those.
As a heavy maybe you need to carry a pistol if the flaylock is becoming an issue.
Also heavies probably need a mid range weapon to deal with some of these issues. |

Here's what I think about it. Unlike a lot of weapons, the AR and HMG in particular, the Flaylock has a high skill ceiling. This means that players who practice with it, get very good with it. I don't think that makes it OP, or too good, by any measure.
Now, if it is the case that people are getting kills disproportionately, or half the players migrate to it, then yeah, there's a problem. I don't see this though.

High skill ceiling? Are you serious? It takes the intelligence of a toddler to use that thing.
I swear every post I read from you its clear you've never used it, you have no idea what it does or how it works.
You've obviously never played in PC... hell im beginning to wonder if you've ever actually played a match in this game at all. |

Let's see your killfeed with it. Thats not the point. People that used the tac AR didn't get amazing huge killfeeds. It just doesn't take all that much skill. Like a swarm launcher. Kinda just point and click flaylock is kind of the same thing, you see it aim for the ground and win. |

You are right, but then again so doesn't the AR and SMG. For once CCP has gotten it right on the nose with what a weapon is supposed to be good at. The proto is pretty efficient but nowhere near a Duvolle while the lower versions are pretty crappy. Now there is something else that can kill, other than the standard weapon of choice, and I think it should be embraced rather than watered down to only be brought back to the stone age that is the AR. |

Snipers like me - I'm free lunch (Scout) but I go hunt them down on my next clone.
If a flaylock user rapid fires you from range and you dont see it then that is them working an advantage / you not being situationally aware. If you see the missiles coming you can dodge them - an ability you dont have with a sniper opponent.
If you are a heavy you have to understand that the flaylock was created to kill you so if you carry a heavy weapon and worry about it get trained up in a pistol. You can pick off FP users quicker if you are a good shot.
I empathized with you that CCP hasnt created a heavy mid range weapon.
Really dont know what else you want - a hug?
