Sinboto Simmons SVER True Blood Public Disorder. 269	Posted - 2013.06.28 20:34:00 - [1] - Quote So got my respec today and since I was going shotty I desired t8 hit the plasma cannon as well I hade loads of fun using it even got a few kills but dispite this I found myself frowning from the overall effectiveness of the weapon. In short :the plasma cannon is fun, but it's not useful The plasma cannon has more then a few flaws Low damage<<<<< Low ammo count Small clip size Long reload time Low slash radius Slow projectile speed While it's fun to shoot big balls of molten death and get a few kills along the way it's fustrating the use for very little gain it dosen't do nearly enough damage to call itself an av weapon and it's slow projectile speed and bare minimum clip size makes it difficult to use against infantry. Definitely a weapon that deserves some tweaking

You know, it is a gall weapon) like, removing the need to charge before shot, or make it progressive, so you can have a charge ready to shot when you push fire again, adding 2+ plasma rounds on it and giving it more ammo, like a 3/9 or 3/12 (5/15 in officer would be awesome) increasing the projectile speed and eliminate the arc. And yes, the obvious damage increase is required, some people says that it will only make it op, because it will be to effective against infantry, now I ask, have anyone saw a suit tanking a direct impact of the plasma cannon?. The splash damage should be a little increased, but most suit should be able to tank it. But, something must be done to not make it the new mass driver, something like adding the stats I sayd, but increasing a little the reload speed, like 3 seconds more and slow ROF.

At level 5 you get a 25% cut to reload time. added with RR and the fact that you can switch to another Light weapon I'd say the next expanction will be good for the PL.

Gonna have to disagree with you on the damage, the plasma cannon at adv level dose around 1138 (I think I'll check that later)comparing this to the std swarm launcher which dose 12000 damage and with a larger clip size/rof this is rather lacking in damage output the adv swarms do 1500 damage far outclassing the plasma cannon in damage, this is before damage mods. The plasma cannon doesn't suffer from the shield decreases to explosives I believe so there is that advantage, still the damage it dose along with the sizable reload time makes it...I won't say unfit to be an av weapon, but certainly not the best choice in my opinion

I've been on but it's been earlier morning then late night to avoid the heat of the day. Both weapon slots for the commando are light weapon slots btw.

If you got a somewhat hidden elevated position, get up there, and they would be so confused it'll be ridiculous.
