Shield should always be faster then armour. It doesn't weigh anything where as armour is super heavy.

They should have a higher max speed, but way slower acceleration. A shield tank should have acceleration just shy of an LAV and much better handling to make up for their short comings.
But I guess that's what we'll see in the Winmatar tanks. |

Gallenete don't have to carry backpacks, that's why they're as fast as caldari  |

The LAVs are the same speed so you can't outrun swarms without an afterburner although I believe Gallente ones accelerate faster.
For dropsuits I think it's because it would make the gallente better then the caldari. |

LAVs accelerate at the same speed and for dropsuits it is because they are to lazy to make an actual balance between speed and HP which is why they have the same base eHP and speed. |
